Calvin Axtell was a senior executive with Dana Commercial Credit (DCC), a captive credit subsidiary of Dana Corporation, for 16 years. While at DCC, Mr. Axtell started DCC’s Real Estate Services Group (RESG). RESG quickly established itself as a reliable and creative equity partner.
Under Mr. Axtell’s leadership, the company grew its equity investment to $178 million. While at DCC, Calvin also had responsibility for the majority of Dana Corporation’s domestic real estate holdings. In addition, he led the work out team in the management and liquidation of a $300 million commercial real estate loan portfolio from Diamond Savings and Loan, a Dana corporation subsidiary.
Prior to his time at DCC, Mr. Axtell owned Greycliffe Management Corporation (Greycliffe). Greycliffe managed and leased over 2 million square feet of commercial space and 2,000 apartment units. Greycliffe also had a real estate brokerage business that specialized in tenant representation.
Mr. Axtell sold Greycliffe to Dana Corporation.
