Born an entrepreneur, Matt started his first company in eighth grade, successfully operating it for over 10 years. During this time Matt also worked at the family owned printing company, Three Z Printing. There he worked in pre-press eventually overseeing the prep department for second shift.
In 2009, Mr. Zerrusen started his own non-profit organization, Newman Connection, Inc., a national brand and support structure for Catholic Campus Ministry. In just five short years, Matt oversaw company growth to a client base of over 650 campus ministries, over 400 Catholic high schools and has been endorsed by over 50 Catholic dioceses. Newman Connection has connected over 100,000 graduating high school seniors to their respective campus minister.
In 2010, Matt started the Newman Student Housing Fund, a private venture to build faith-based student housing on secular campuses. Under his direction, NSHF has developed a portfolio of over $50 million in real estate and has become the national leader in faith-based student housing.
He has been featured in national print media including Wall Street Journal, New York Times, CNN, ABC News, and Huffington Post. He is a national speaker on faith based housing and campus ministry.
Matt is a member of the Knights of Columbus and lives in Dallas, TX.
